Real people designing real spaces that actually work for how you live
Look, we started Cyrendal Quinthar back in 2012 because we were tired of seeing buildings that looked good in renderings but felt cold in real life. Toronto was growing fast - still is - and we kept seeing the same cookie-cutter designs pop up everywhere.
What got us going wasn't some grand vision written on a napkin. It was simpler than that. We wanted to design spaces where people actually wanted to be. Sounds basic, right? But you'd be surprised how often that gets lost in the shuffle.
We've been at this for over a decade now, and yeah, we've learned a thing or two. Sustainable design isn't just about slapping solar panels on a roof - it's about understanding how a building breathes, how light moves through it at different times of day, how people interact with the spaces we create.
We're not trying to win every award out there. We're trying to make Toronto a better place to live, one building at a time.
Every project starts with conversations - lots of them. We can't design for you if we don't get what makes you tick.
We've got one Earth, might as well treat it right. Green building isn't optional anymore - it's just good practice.
Trends come and go. We design buildings that'll still feel right 20 years from now.
Here's how we actually tackle projects - the real process, not the brochure version
We spend way more time listening than talking in those first meetings. Your needs, your quirks, your budget - it all matters.
We walk every site multiple times. Morning light, afternoon shadows, how the wind hits - all of it shapes the design.
First draft's never the final one. We sketch, model, adjust, and yeah - sometimes start over when something's not working.
We don't disappear once construction starts. We're on-site regularly making sure it's built the way we designed it.
Principal Architect
Been with us since day one. Sarah's the one who'll challenge your assumptions - in a good way. She's got this knack for seeing possibilities where others see constraints. Specializes in residential work and has a mild obsession with natural light.
Urban Planning Lead
Marcus thinks in city blocks, not just buildings. He's the guy who makes sure our projects fit into the bigger picture of Toronto's growth. Used to work in city planning, so he knows the bureaucracy inside out.
Sustainability Director
If there's a greener way to do something, Elena's already researched it. She keeps us honest on the environmental front and somehow manages to make LEED certification almost enjoyable. Almost.
Interior Design Specialist
James bridges the gap between structure and lived experience. He's all about the details - the stuff you don't notice but would definitely miss if it wasn't there. Great at heritage restoration too.
We're always up for a good conversation about interesting projects. Coffee's on us for the first meeting.
Our values aren't just wall art - they're how we actually work
No hidden fees, no surprises halfway through. We tell you what things cost and why. If something's gonna be expensive, you'll know upfront.
You're not hiring us to dictate what your building should be. It's a partnership. Your input shapes everything we do.
We don't cut corners. Period. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly. That sometimes means saying no to quick fixes.
Buildings don't exist in isolation. We think about neighbors, pedestrians, the streetscape - how our work affects everyone around it.
